Best Sylius agencies in Europe: partners, case studies
No official ranking names the best Sylius development agencies in Europe. The most solid starting point in 2026 is the official partner directory, which shows BitBag as a Global Solution Partner and WIDE as a Leading Solution Partner, with several French Premium partners below them. Beyond that, the best agency for you is the one that can show a published case study close to your project and name the team that did it.
I am an independent Sylius developer and a possible alternative to these firms, so I have an interest here. For that reason I rank nobody. I report what their public profiles and case studies show, as read on 1 November 2026.
What official partners show in the Sylius directory
The Sylius partner directory runs to eight pages, and the table below covers the agencies visible on the first pages of the worldwide and France views. It is therefore a sample, not a complete list, so filter on your own country to see who else appears.
| Agency | Listed location | Solution partner level | Other labels shown |
|---|---|---|---|
| BitBag | Global | Global, Leading | Officially Trained, Core Contributor, Extension Artisan |
| WIDE | France, Switzerland | Leading | None seen |
| ACSEO | France | Premium | Officially Trained, Extension Artisan |
| EMAGMA | France | Premium | Officially Trained, Extension Artisan, Official Training Partner |
| WEEBY | France | Premium | Officially Trained |
| Datasolution | France | Premium | None seen |
| Hello Pomelo | France | Premium | Not checked |
The directory page does not define these levels. Read them as a sign of a relationship with Sylius, and not as a quality score across agencies. A difference in level does not tell you which firm will serve you better.
Reading the case studies: what is published and what is not
This is where profiles start to differ. BitBag's profile is the most detailed one I read. It states a partnership since 2018, more than 150 projects over ten years, and names Sylius work including Mytheresa (a migration from Magento Enterprise to Sylius Plus), ArtNight, Planeta Huerto and Domotio. These numbers are the agency's own.
The Domotio case study shows what a useful one contains. This Polish lighting retailer merged two online stores and moved from WooCommerce to Sylius, keeping SEO through URL and blog migration, with PayU payments, shipping exports and Omnibus pricing compliance. A summary of the project gives no quantified results, which is honest enough, and it tells you to ask for figures in a reference call.
WIDE's profile describes offices in Lyon, Paris and Geneva, partnership since 2022, membership of the Talan group, and work on complex multi-site and multi-brand platforms with ERP, PIM, CRM and OMS integrations. The profile itself names no client projects, so that evidence has to come from the agency directly. My searches for published Sylius case studies from ACSEO and EMAGMA did not surface any, which does not mean none exist; ask them.
Other published projects are useful to find agencies you might not otherwise meet. Centros Único is credited to Cloud District, for instance. Brille24's move from Magento to Sylius Plus reports 35% better page load time, a figure published in a vendor curated case study, which I cannot verify independently.
How to compare agencies: six checks that matter
First, look for similarity: same business model, same catalogue scale, same integrations. A beautiful marketplace reference tells you little about a B2B shop with an ERP. Second, ask who did the work and whether those people are still there. Third, ask for a client you can call, ideally eighteen months after launch, because that is when maintenance quality shows.
Fourth, test their version knowledge. Security support for Sylius 1.14 ends on 31 December 2026 and 2.2 follows on 31 March 2027, while Sylius 2.3 arrived in September 2026. Any serious proposal should say which version it targets and why. Fifth, read the plan for your data and search rankings if you are migrating. Sixth, check what happens at the end of the contract, including who owns the code and how access is returned.
When an agency is not the best choice
Agencies suit broad programmes, which need several profiles and cover during absences. If you need a takeover of an existing shop, an audit, an upgrade or steady maintenance, a senior independent may fit better and give you direct access to the person writing the code. That is my own offer, so weigh the remark accordingly. Conversely, I am not the right fit for a multi-country launch with several workstreams in parallel: pick an agency from the directory for that.
Budget is another honest filter. I found no published rate card from Sylius partners. Ask at the first call what typical project size they take on, which saves you and them a long proposal process.
A short process for your shortlist
Filter the directory on your country and take three or four names, adding one independent if your scope allows it. Send the same one page brief to all of them. Ask each for a similar reference and a named lead. Compare the questions they raise, since a provider who has understood your shop usually asks about your plugins, your data and your deadlines before quoting.
If you would like an independent view of a proposal, or your project suits one developer, see my Sylius developer page. My reference for this kind of work is Coucouroucoucou, a Belgian Sylius shop that I took over with about 15,000 orders retained and no interruption of sales. For the hiring side of this decision, read agency or freelance: how to choose.
